Awards season 3

My votes:

Manager of the year:
1. Steve - no explanation needed really

2. Dave - took over a midtable WBA, got into a serious string of bad results, but then managed to turn it back round in january, and saved the club

3. Johannes/Stuart - I can't decide amongst the two really. They both lost out in the FA cup semi with close margins, and are close in the table as well. Finishing 8th with Rovers is bigger achievement than 10th with Sunderland (might be higher or lower in 3 games), but Stuart has played all his games, as Johannes have been stuck at work for some sessions.

Signing of year:
Dave - Roque Santa Cruz, £2.5m from Hull
No-brainer for me. He was a fringe player for Hull, but he has REALLY been brought to life in the hands of Dave. 14 goals in 10 apps or so, almost singlehandedly turning it around for Dave who's fought himself from relegation and up to a very safe spot. Good lad!

Player of the year:
Alexandr Kerzakhov - 7.34 avg, which in 4th in the league, and 22 league goals with 3 games in hand. Anyone putting up someone other than one of Steve's players gotta be high

Worst player of the year:
Myhill - Hull
Played few matches, but when Enyeama was out for ANC, he had 7 blunders in 2 games, and conceded 16 goals in 4 games for me. Can't think of anyone worse at the moment.

Manager of the season

1. Kim: Not easy going for Kim rather than Steve, but I'm going for Kim. He won the league cup and got Hull a record position, while playing enteraining attacking football.

2. Steve: Did a fantastic job in the league and snatching 6th spot and Europe league.

3. Dave: Good job in 2nd half and getting WBA to respectable position. Looking at the starting lineup he's dona a terrific job, getting Santa Cruz and Romaric, two great players.

Signing of the season:

Santa Cruz. Can't see nobody else even close

Player of the season:

Alexander Kerzhakov. One could argue he should be a contender for premiership player of the year.

Manager of the year:

1. Kim - I can decide between Kim and steve so because steve won it last year i am going to vote for Kim.

2. Steve - As Above

3. Johannes - Consistent as ever.

Soz but i dont know enuff about everybodies players to vote on players of the season ETC.

My votes:

1. Kim - can't be anyone else, despite a disappointing end to a fine season in the league, but even 13th saw a points total not that far off a solid top half finish. Majorly, he won Hull their first ever major trophy (I believe!)

2. Stuart - I always vote for Stu This season, I couldn't not, he was not far behind Johannes in the league and he pips him for my money because of his cup run.

3. Johannes - easily the most solid and most consistent manager. Slowly moving Blackburn in the right direction and if that board ever give him so money, well watch out Big 4 ...


Player of the Year - I know it's bad form, but I have to vote for one of my wolves lot. Sandro, Otamendi, Rodwell all had fine seasons, Milevsky scored a bucket load but Kerzhakov fired us to glory so I have to vote for him.

Signing of the Season - to be honest I was concentrating more on my own team. however, I couldn't help but notice the impact of Wagner Love at Hull, and the salvation of West Brom at the feet of Roque Santa Cruz. My vote goes to Love.

Worst Player of the season - I'll second Kim's vote for Myhill, but to be honest, I have not got a scooby.

The way i would work it out would be to award 3 points for a 1st choice, 2 points for a second choice and 1 point for a 3rd choice. Therefore Table so far would be:

Making Kim the leader so far. Come on Joe, Stu and George, Lets get this sorted.

1 Steve. It was very close to pick him or kim as they have both had mighty fine seasons but as they say the league dont lie, and for wolves to finish in 6th place and europen football next season is somethink that is not easy to do so he gets my vote.

2)Kim. Had a great season yet again and won the league cup with a great 3-2 win over chelsea. His hull side are a very hard team to beat and phil brown would do well to take note of what kim as done to hull over the past 3 seasons.

3) Johan. All season long he was top half of the table with very strong blackburn side, he also had a great cup run and finished 8th in the league, for that he gets my vote ahead of gman who also did an outstanding job to keep West Brom up

Player of the season

Alexander Kerzhakov banged in goals all season long and hes ratings show what a great season he had.

Buy of the season

Roque santa cruz. Saved Wba from going down to the championship single handed.

Worst signings

Kepa. I voted for my own player, i payed 7.5m for him and he did fcuk all for most of the season.

1. Steve - awesome job to get Wolves into Europe, hes got a great team and some players i would love to have in my team

2. Kim - strike force was scary and really pushed the team into a great position in the league and a deserved trophy to finish the season.

3. Johannes - Very solid team who i never even got close to him the games we played against each other, very steady season.

Player of the Season:

The only player i can think of is Vagner Love, just a ruthless goal machine for Kim!
